HOWARD OUTFITTERS' guides include Patrick James Howard (PJ) and his father Dale Patrick Howard (Pat). Both PJ and Pat reside in Ennis and have fished the Madison River their entire lives. This father-and-son team with over 90 years of combined experience will ensure that your float trip with dry flies is rewarding, exciting and productive. Our extensive knowledge of equipment, fly patterns, and the river will add to your lasting impression and love for the river, local topography and valley history.
HOWARD OUTFITTERS guides use McKenzie river boats. They were originally designed to break the coastal waves on the Oregon coast, but were modified to become excellent fishing crafts for the Madison River. We offer day trips on different sections of the Madison River depending on the best fishing area at the time. Float time and river distance are up to the Client.
